Corduroy

Top Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2002
Bottom James Long Fall/Winter 2010

I'm usually not afraid of questionable or utterly awful things. But corduroy leaves me concerned. Why? Why does it exist? Why do people use it? Why do some people even like it? Especially given the fact that it may have a fashion comeback.

P.S.: Pictures shown above represent noteworthy exceptions. I just couldn't allow myself to post Ralph Lauren.

Innuendo

Glasses Giorgio Armani
Vest Whyred
Waistcoat Acne
Trousers Carin Wester

Somehow swayed by previous Yves Saint Laurent collections, I took inspiration across the seasons and matched voluminous trousers with a fitted vest that, once put together, evoked the look of a jumpsuit. At least I imagined so.

Barbie Fashion

Armani Fall/Winter 2000
Cavalli Spring/Summer 2004 & Gucci Spring/Summer 2002
Cavalli Fall/Winter 2003 & Versace Spring/Summer 2003

I actually do miss Barbie Fashion. I wanna see tacky girls in metallic pink bell-bottoms, big 3-Wetter-Taft hair, fake fur and mini skirts. Now that we've learned to dress in black draped pieces by Haider Ackermann and Ann Demeulemeester we should have a quick shopping spree in a suburban super mall.

Spectacle

Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 1989

Horst is growing old and therefore concluded to refine his serious appearance. With a classic pair of Giorgio Armani frames. The perfect complement to combed-back hair, suit and black turtleneck.
