Since stay in India need to be very short and also my travel is very near, I need to know whether it is safe to travel on an approved I 797 from my current employer?
I already have a H1 B VISA stamped on my passport with previous employer's name that expires on 30 Nov 2009.
Also, I would like to know whether I should select yes/no to the following question?
Are you applying for the same class of visa which is currently valid or has expired within the past 12 months?*
Is H1B Transfer = H1B Renewal?

Hi Gurus,

Have we taken in to account these action items
1) Improve Overall GC Process time.
2) Re-use all unused visa's that went in vain in past
3) Count each family as one visa instead of each for each family member.
And What do we need to do as a member of IV to lobby these changes.

My wife recently got her H4 extension approved. She got her I-797 approval form. While going for H4 stamping, Is she required to carry my original H1B I-797 also?

One of the comments on my post earlier today about the killed Border Patrol agent seemed pretty harsh - accusing most BP agents of being restrictionists with bad motives. Hi all,
Following is a great post regarding how to decorate our properties with custom value pickers that allow you to more easily gain access to an element name. My requirement is to populate the properties in a combo box when the user picks an element using the custom value picker.

I'm available for all aspects of Flash development from Flash video to ActionScript. One of the projects I'm currently working on is a virtual tour, fully updatable and dynamic.
I also understand and have developed AfterEffects peices for web publishing purposes. So if you need Flash animation, I can do that too. My lastest work was a FLV and Flash intro peice for Enyce.

I am an American and my wife is going though the green card application process. We recently received our interview date. Unfortunately, it was scheduled one day prior to our wedding ceremony which is out of the country. Our wedding is being presided over by the mayor of a fairly large city, with like 300 or so guests and at this point would be impossible to change. At the same time I hear that mixing international travel and rescheduling green card interviews is a risky thing.
We have an infopass scheduled in two weeks, and beyond the supporting documents of our flight and wedding information, is there anything else we should bring to prove that we can't possibly be at this interview? Is this something a lawyer might be able to handle better (like have more credibility)?
Anyone willing to give odds on us successfully changing our interview date?

Does the published cumulative demand data represent
a) all pending 485 cases that include primary applicants and their dependents
OR
b) all pending 485 cases that include primary applicants only?
If say, the demand data for EB3, till 2004 says 35,000 - does this mean there are a total of 35,000 pending cases in total OR does this represent primary applicants only?
If it represents primary applicants only, what is the multiplication factor we need to use to get an approximate number for total pending 485 cases?

As per the latest regulations, the employer has to pay for all the labor application cost. My employer has agreed to do my green card, but are little hesitant to pay the cost (due to budget constraint). What legal options/adjustments can I make with my employer so that the cost process is not delayed? Can they deduct part of my salary to bear the cost etc...?

I filed for my H4 extn on Jan 16th(Cal Serv Centre)..I dont think so I can get the H4 approval extn by April 1st... other than the option of getting it done in premium processing ... can I file for my H1 in April before my H4 approval comes..?
All in all I will need atleast 5k for my H1 and in case if I have to get my H4extn premium processed..

I was born in Canada and moved to the U.S. when I was 8 years old. I was naturalized when I was 18 (4 years ago). I heard that when naturalized in the U.S, my Canadian citizenship was not lost (I never filed any paperwork with the Canadian government stating I wanted to give up my Canadian citizenship either). Is this true?
If so, can I apply for a Canadian passport? Should I do this? Are there any responsibilities/problems/repercussions that could occur if I do this?
